Since October is breast cancer awareness month, the challenge will be to give your chest some TLC (tender love & care) on a daily basis. Whenever you can, let’s shoot for 2min of work on each side. And if your chest starts to feel bruised, just do a general chest stretch for 2min each side and give the ball a break. Women, not your breast tissue but the muscles around it. We have spent either the majority of our lives hunched forward with bad posture (or still do), in addition to a lot of chest focused exercise (push-ups, bench press, burpees, etc.). Having poor mobility in your chest, not only sets you up for disaster when doing exercise overhead, it also makes breathing less efficient and lowers your overall energy. Yuck. So take some time this month to cruise your chest with your choice of ball and work those restricted areas…..noticing the overall improvement of going overhead, breathing and energy levels!
